SATYA NADELLA NEW CEO OF MICROSOFT AND HIS GROWTH STORY
Satya Nadella has
been appointed as New CEO of Microsoft on 4th Feb 2014 he is succeeding
Steve Ballmer.
He was born in 1967 and has done his graduation i.e.
Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Manipal Institute of
Technology in 1987.
He has done MS
in computer Science from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, US in 1990.
He has done MBA
from University of Chicago Booth School of Business, US.

chairman of Microsoft step aside as he want to devote more time for product
development.

Nadella Joined Microsoft
in 1992 and various positions held in Microsoft by Nadella are:-

tools division he transformed company business and technology culture from
Client services to cloud infrastructures and services. This was the current
position held by Nadella before becoming CEO.

He was working
as an executive vice president of Microsoft's Cloud and Enterprise group,
Microsoft before becoming CEO. Microsoft Cloud and Enterprise Group is fastest
growing division and which accounted for USD 20.3 billion in revenue and USD 8.2
billion in operating income this financial year.
The revenue from
Cloud Services grew to $20.3 billion in June 2013 from $16.6 billion when he
took over in 2011.
Before
Joining Microsoft Satya Nadella worked as with Sun Microsystems as a member of
the technology staff.
As a CEO of Microsoft Satya Nadella will get basic annual salary
of USD 1.2 Million. But if bonus and stock awards are taken into account salary
will reach at USD 18 Million i.e. Rs 112 crore.
There are various other perks also besides this salary.
His annual base salary which when converted into Rupees comes
at Rs 7.5 Crore.
The
top executive would be eligible for an annual EIP (Executive Incentive Programme)
stock award worth $13.2 million starting 2015 fiscal year
Earlier
as a President of Server and tools business he has taken annual salary of USD
6,75,000 for financial year 2013. Besides this he got a cash bonus of $1.6
million last year.
Nadella
was born to Bukkapuram Nadella Yugandhar
an IAS officer; He belongs to Telugu family of Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh.
His Father worked with planning commission during 2004-2009 under Prime
Minister Manmohan Singh.
Satya Nadella wife name is Anupama Nadella. They were married for
22 years and originally met when both attended high school in Hyderabad,
India.
Her maiden name is Priyadarshini.
She is approximately 45 years old
both live in the state of Washington.
The couple has three children — two daughters and one son.
