Montblanc entered into Joint Venture with Titan Industries


Titan Industries which is main business of selling Watches,  Jewellary, Sungalsses, Belts,  Precision engineering components, bags  under brand Name of Titan include Fastrack, Sonata, Raga, Edge, Octane, Xylys, Titan Eye+ and Tanishq, Goldplus, Zoya.

Titan entered into Joint Venture with Montblanc, in 51:49 JV, In which 51% share will be of Montblanc and 49 % will be of Titan. Montblanc is in the business of selling High quality Products suchas Pens, Watches , Eyewear and Fragrances etc.  This JV helps Montblanc to avoid 30% local Material sourcing norm in case of 100% FDI in India. Which was the rule set by Government for any FDI?

In India 1st Montblanc was come in India through cricketer-turned-entrepreneur Dilip Joshi two decades ago i.e. in 90’s and opened their 1st boutique at Delhi Maurya Hotel and now it has 16 such boutiques in country. This deal will help Titan in achieving 3 billion dollar revenue in coming 2 years.


By Including Montblanc in their portfolio Titan will increase its luxury brands  presence in India and will help both Montblanc and Titan to clock more revenue in coming years. In India Luxury brands demand is growing at quick pace as even Middle class families also looking for Luxury brands.
