Arvind Kejriwal On Friday addressed Auto Drivers MahaSabha

Auto drivers which played a significant role in Success of AAP as they advertised their campaign during elections by putting their Party posters in back of their Autos. Kejriwal Addressed their Grievances during Mahasabha and announced few measures:-

1. Kejriwal reduced the powers of Delhi Traffic police by saying that" Police can suspend licences or impound vehicles only if the permit, drivers' licence or fitness credentials is missing. The common fine or challan is just Rs 100."

2. Complaints of misbehavior, denial or overcharging will no longer lead to suspension of permits by the Delhi policeman, even if challans have been handed out against the offending vehicle earlier.

3. Delhi CM Kejriwal also announced that their is no need of GPS linked meters instead they should install only GPS in their autos so that commuters should access of shortest path thorough GPS. He also said that GPS is available at cost of Rs 13,500 but were selling in the market for Rs 18,000. 

4. He also said that Replacement of vintage autos, 500 more stands, better amenities at the Burari fitness centre and an annual fare hike reliant on inflation were some of the other sops he held out. 

5. Permit for 5500 autos in NCR.


Also, the complaint number - 011-42400400 - mainly for commuters till now, will be made accessible to autorickshaw drivers as well.
