Facebook buys Indian Little Eye Labs


Facebook first time buys an Indian IT co. Little Eye Labs, Bangalore based co. announced Wednesday. Little Eye Labs creates tools used by Android application developers that can analyze and enhance the efficiency of mobile apps, according to the company's website.Purchase price is between $10 million to $15 million, according to the New York Times. Little Eye Labs' entire team will be moving to the Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif., Bloomberg reports. Little Eye Labs was founded in August 2012 by Rangarajan and his colleagues from Rational Software.
The other co-founders are Giridhar Murthy, Satyam Kandula, Lakshman Kakkirala and Aditya Kulkarni. By using help of Little eye labs Facebook will identify which Android consumes more power hence enhances cellphone battery life. Co. is just 1 and half year old. What this means for the team at Little Eye Labs is that their work will be a very specific set in terms of Facebook's strategy to make larger forays into the mobile industry. With this buy Facebook will prevent undue drainage of cellphone battery.
